BCCA Sales Manager
The Broadcast Cable Credit Association (BCCA), a subsidiary of MFM (Media Financial Management Association) has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic and experienced Sales Manager to work in the Associations’ Northfield, Illinois headquarters. Qualified candidates will be able to grow BCCA’s base of member-subscribers as well as selling advertising and sponsorships for MFM.
Position includes: commission, bonus and small base salary. MFM/BCCA offers an excellent benefits package – vacation, holidays, health, dental, long-term disability, and life – along with a casual work environment.
Responsibilities include:
Increasing BCCA revenues by selling new membership subscriptions to target broadcasting and cable industry prospects in accordance with the Associations’ sales programs, strategies, and policies
Managing annual renewals for BCCA member-subscribers
Assisting member-subscribers and prospects in attaining their goals through proper utilization of BCCA’s services and ensuring goodwill between BCCA (and MFM) and its members
Selling-in additional service packages to targeted member-subscribers
Working, in conjunction with MFM Membership Manager, to achieve advertising sales goals for The Financial Manager, MFM’s bi-monthly member journal and for the Associations’ annual Membership Directory.
Selling, in conjunction with the MFM Membership Manager, exhibits and sponsorships for the Annual MFM/BCCA Conference and any of the Associations’ targeted seminars
Pursuing other sales opportunities as they are identified
Meeting budgeted revenue goals and activity levels on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as outlined in the annual budgeting and goal-setting process
Completing all necessary sales paperwork and reports in a timely and efficient manner
Maintaining accurate sales, subscriber-member, and prospect records using associations’ database and internal forms
Taking responsibility for collection efforts, when necessary
Monitoring competitive activity and market conditions, providing feedback and suggestions to management
Attending Associations’ Annual Conference to both help with overall event and to drive awareness for BCCA membership subscriptions
Other duties as assigned
Successful candidate must:
- Be a detail-oriented team player with strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to work with clients at all levels
- Be professional and courteous to team members and clients
- Have highly developed organization skills and attention to detail
- Have proficiency in MS Office – particularly Word and Excel
- Be a self-starter able to prioritize and self-direct in a small office
- Have a minimum of three years of sales experience, media sales is a plus
- Have the ability to work in the office 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or what it takes to achieve the goals
- Be able to travel to national conference and any other required travel
College degree preferred
