TITLE OF POSITION: SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVES
TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Local Sales Manager
LOCATION: Chicago, IL
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
CLOSING DATE: Until position is filled.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To provide a quality sales effort in maintaining, prospecting and developing local agency and new
business dollars to assure annually established sales goals are met. Make a full contribution to the
success of the department & station by being an effective team member.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Previous sales experience in radio or a broadcast medium – or related sales environment.
Self-starter and willing to devote full time to developing and servicing accounts.
Able to develop advertising revenue at the retail level.
Able to successfully meet sales projections and budgets as set by you & sales management team.
Able to obtain and communicate basic copy requirements.
Able to work compatibly with management and sales staff.
Project desired company image with respect to dress and demeanor.
Able to work in a smoke-free environment.
Able to fully support company’s mission statement and core values.
Willing to sign and comply with the current WILV Account Executive Agreement.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and proven ability to safely drive personal vehicle without
exposing the company to serious liability risks.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Prior experience with internet sales can be valuable asset.
Experience calling on retail stores and agencies would be important.
Previous experience with vendor consultants is very helpful.
Experience in promotional agencies, a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION:
Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hand and/or fingers.
Ability to give and receive information through oral communications.
Ability to lift, move and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion, and up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
